New frequency record in Si-Ge technology

The research group of Prof. U. Pfeiffer was able to announce at this year's ISSCC a new frequency record.

The ISSCC (International Solid-State Circuits Conference) is considered the leading semiconductor conference, held annually in late February. The American news service EETimes wrote, that the integrated circuits, designed in Wuppertal claims a historical frequency record for SiGe technology. The in Wuppertal designed transmitter and receiver runs with 820 GHz.
